Donald J. Tauber, D.D.S.

It is with mixed emotions and great deliberation that I am announcing my retirement from my dental practice. My last day will be July 25, 2016.

After completing Temple University School of Dentistry and two years as Captain in the Army Dental Corps (one year at Fort Benning, GA and one year in Vietnam), I started my dental office by the drugstore at Routes 23 and 94 in February 1972. Sally, my wife and new bride, was the first dental hygienist in our practice. We moved to our present location, a renovated old Victorian home at 29 Route 23 North in Hamburg, in June 1983.

In May 1986, Dr. Salvatore Sciascia joined our office. In July 2004, I had the pleasure of welcoming my son, Dr. Jeffrey Tauber, and in 2005, I had the additional pleasure of welcoming his wife and my daughter-in-law, Dr. Kimberly Tauber, into the practice.

To our wonderful patients, I want to say thank you and make sure you know how grateful I am. It has been a true honor to have treated so many of you over the past 44 years. To all the patients that I have seen, thanks for all your kindness and making years of memories. Your continued loyalty is the greatest compliment you could have given me. You have become like family and I hope you know how much I appreciate your devotion, and deeply-formed relationships. I have always taken the utmost pride in providing our patients with the best dental treatment in a very caring and friendly atmosphere. It is with total confidence that my patients will continue to be treated with the same care by my son, my daughter-in-law and Sal Sciascia.

As well as having the best patients who have become dear friends, we also have an excellent and well-trained staff. They have been the primary reason that our practice has been so successful. They are all caring individuals, and I have the highest trust and respect for them. I want to thank each and every one of them for their hard work, camaraderie, and especially their dedication. As you know, they have been in our office for many, many years, and I want to thank them from the bottom of my heart. It is because of the staff and our dental professionals that made my decision that much easier.

Sally and I are looking forward to the next chapter in our lives. We will be spending more time with our three children, their spouses and our seven grandchildren. We have certainly been blessed and we owe it all to our wonderful patients and fantastic staff.

Thank you for your trust and friendship throughout my career. My gratitude and best wishes go out to all of you and I will miss you.

With Love,

Don Tauber
